Douglass Browser Features

The Douglass Browser is includes tools for creating and hosting Decentralized websites directly from the browser. The Douglass Browser uses the Ida peer-to-peer network to host your Decentralized website's files, this gives you the ability to share your projects independently wihtout an ISP.

Files published on the Ida network can only be decrypted by people who know the files' secret URL. With the Douglass Browser you can share files privately without ever revealing their content to a third-party hosting service.

Each change published to an Ida peer-to-peer website is added to its history log and distributed across the network. With the Douglass Browser, you can view a website at any point in its history using built-in versioned URLs like ida://

With builtin tools for live reloading, developing peer-to-peer websites with the Douglass Browser is a breeze. Simply save your work and the Douglass Browser will update the page to reflect your changes.

Save a website for offline use, and as soon as you're back online, The Douglass Browser will automatically sync any changes that you missed.

The Douglass Browser introduces new Web APIs for building peer-to-peer websites and applications with the Ida protocol.

Tubman is social content and local commerce platform . Resource exchange is foundational to natural ecosystems and human economies. The Tubman micropayment service fosters the creation of a self-contained commerce and capital ecosystem that is generations ahead of any competitor services.

This integration means that Tubman can actually return value to communities and give them resources to define their own economic destiny with return of value generated via the platform to individuals, groups, and neighborhoods.

When transactions take place within the platform, a portion of the internal transaction fees that are charged are directly deposited into the Neighborhood Asset Pools of those transacting.

The micro payments feature gives members the ability to pay rights holders or supply chain partners in real time. The Tubman Payments API gives developers the ability to integrate Tubman payments into external websites and mobile applications.

Notes is the Zero Knowledge realtime collaborative editor.

Encryption carried out in your web browser protects the data from the server, the cloud and the NSA.

With Notes you can make quick collaborative documents. When you sign up and log in, you get file upload capability and a CryptDrive where you can organize all of your documents.

You can share access to Notes documents simply by sharing the link. You can also share a link which provides read only access to a Notes allowing you to publicize your collaborative work while still being able to edit it.

You can make simple rich text documents with CKEditor as well as Markdown documents which are rendered in realtime while you type. You can also use the poll app for scheduling events with multiple participants.

When you sign up and log in, your username and password are computed into a secret key using scrypt key derivation function. Neither this key, nor the username and password are ever sent to the server. Instead they are used on the client side to decrypt the content of your CryptDrive, which contains the keys to all pads that you are able to access.

When you share the link to a document, you're sharing the cryptographic key for accessing that document but since the key is in the fragment identifier, it is never directly sent to the server.
